Jeff has 20+ years of comprehensive architectural and program management experience specializing in the retail development and financial market, leading over 500 financial projects. Jeff's background – he served as Corporate Architect for a large financial institution for nearly 10 years – and leadership have positioned K4 as a significant contributor to and thought leader in the financial services industry.

John A. Schaefer, AIA
Principal
With 20+ years of diversified architecture, design, construction, and marketing experience, John heads the K4 business development team. His innovative, collaborative style continues to inspire and shape the K4 Customer-Driven Branded Places philosophy and process. John's ability to listen, communicate, and effectively translate client's ideas into visual reality have contributed to K4's position in the industry as a leader in creativity, design and helping clients achieve their growth objectives. John has served as project architect on many religious architectural projects, and leads K4’s commitment to creating inspirational houses of Worship.

David leads K4’s construction division. With David’s 20+ years of experience in all aspects of construction and construction management, he has been at the forefront of K4’s rapid growth in regional construction. His ability to manage systems and processes has allowed K4 to expand its market to a 25+ state region. Throughout his career, he has completed numerous projects such as multi-story hotels/office buildings, healthcare facilities, heavy/light industrial complexes, educational buildings, financial institutions, retail (box and strip), restaurants, and prototypical-oriented projects. David’s ability to integrate the construction process with that of Architecture has defined K4 as the truly unique design/build company it has grown to be, providing our Clients with a greater level of service in a competitive market.

Richard S. Posey, AIA
Principal
Rick has 20+ years of broad experience in architecture, facility planning, and construction management. He has extensive experience in private sector markets such as financial services, housing, commercial, corporate/industrial development, and planning. Rick has served as principal architect and project manager for a wide range of public projects including universities, school districts, city and county government, and libraries. Additionally, he has worked with several non-profit and governmental entities in many aspects of planning and needs assessment for their internal growth.
Rick is the driving-force behind K4's green initiative. His tremendous sense of integrating strong design with the pragmatics of construction embodies the K4 spirit of the Master Builder tradition.

P. Lawrence Hatfield, AIA
Principal
Larry has 20+ years of diversified architecture, planning, and construction experience in a design/build environment, managing design teams as well as overseeing construction. Larry has shaped K4's architect led design/build process. His overall knowledge of the built environment and experience with projects on fast-track schedules have significantly contributed to K4's successful EDTIP process. Larry's experience early in his career (he was one of the pioneers to use computer technology as a design tool in Greater Cincinnati) has enabled him to explore Computer Aided Design alternatives and produce exceptional computer generated renderings quickly and effectively.

Jack Hugentugler, AIA
Principal
Jack is a registered architect with 25+ years of experience. His diverse portfolio includes projects in various sectors including hospitality, financial, governmental, marine, industrial, healthcare, restaurant, retail, and multi-family. Jack's dedication to the client and creativity in design and in solving difficult issues has earned him many repeat clients.

Bob's 25 years of legal and business experience have demonstrated an impressive track record of problem solving, project management and application of corporate strategies, policies and procedures. His extensive experience includes directing transactional operations for a national commercial real estate finance organization that annually originated in excess of $500 million in loans and sale/leaseback transactions, servicing more than $1 billion in commercial loans and managing an affiliated real estate investment trust with a portfolio of more than 200 properties. His professional affiliations include the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Mortgage Bankers Association of America.
Bob's prior experience serving as Senior Vice President and General Corporate Counsel for one of the nation’s largest mortgage banks have given him a complete understanding of the disposition of commercial real estate; negotiation of loan workouts; coordination of contracts and documents; and direction of litigation matters.

Bill Weltzer
Director of Construction Operations, Midwest Market
Bill has 15+ years experience in the construction field. He has served as Project Manager for a variety of project types including financial, educational, office/ warehouse, and industrial totaling over $70 million in construction costs. Bill's knowledge and experience in the construction management field have proven invaluable throughout the duration of projects. His strengths lie in his strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

David has over 12 years experience in facilities management, construction /design development, and project management within the financial and retail industries. During his time as Vice President with a financial institution, David led the implementation of a $54 million market expansion that comprised of two regional banking hubs and ten retail branch facilities. David is experienced in facilities space utilization, asset management, corporate real estate, and furniture/equipment procurement.
