CHALLENGE: The Client desired to build a new facility in a location they had selected; they wanted the new facility to be very prominent along the main road elevation. There were many issues regarding the site, including portions of the site residing in the designated flood plain. The client wanted to engage their members through their retailing initiative and increse their market share.

SOLUTION: K4 solved several key issues for the client. To maximize the building's prominence, K4 positioned it on the site to maximize the perception of linear elevation along the road frontage, as well as elevate the portion of the site above the flood plain. We recommended a transitional design that maximized the retail impact of the interior, including a full-time greeter station near the entrance to direct customers, and offices were shaped (slanted walls) and positioned to give both visual transparency and sound privacy. K4's successful management of this project motivated the client to use the branding ideas developed on new projects and renovations.
