CHALLENGE: The Credit Union is located within a urban streetscape with buildings abutting the structure on both sides and facing the public sidewalk and street. The challenge was to design a new façade that reflects a new branded identity for the Credit Union while respecting the character of the streetscape.
SOLUTION: Using the copper and green color scheme of the Credit Union logo, K4 designed a curved canopy that invites clients from the sidewalk to the front door and ATM machine. High lighting the streetscape, a new clock tower was designed in axis to a pedestrian mall across the street. The scale and proportion of the new façade was taken from the adjacent structures. A new gathering area was created in front of the building to invite social activity.
