CHALLENGE: The developer desired to make significant modifications of the Wingate Inn brand and skew the focus of that brand towards an executive conference center in the fast growing suburban environment in which it served.

SOLUTION: Working closely with the developer and subsequent owner, K4 led a team of professionals including IntraDesign, Inc. (Interiors consultant) to create a post-modern version of the Wingate brand. A large banquet center with executive conference rooms as well as signature pool/spa and entrance spaces were added to the program to meet the demographics the owner required. The building consists of a 3-story lobby with dome, 2 swimming pools, 90 guest rooms, 2 large breakfast areas, and over 4,000 s.f. of meeting space (one main and several smaller conference rooms). Custom Furniture was designed in both the guest and public spaces to complement the post-modern interior architecture and design. Through innovative thinking and sourcing, the upgraded materials and custom furniture were obtained at pricing consistent with the other standard hotel finishes. The budget was maintained while producing unique and sophisticated interiors.
